Super Secret Contest and 2 Freebies!

I told you I'd be back later with some goodies for you! Last week one of my girls gave away some copies of my new scribbly alpha at Funky Playground, Digishoptalk and Digi Scrapaddicts. For whatever reason I never posted this here for you, my loyal blog readers!!!! So here's the deal. Leave me a comment in this post giving me some sort of tip or trick you've picked up throughout the years... you know, like never eat yellow snow.... lol... I'll be back MONDAY to pick three lucky ladies (or gents) to win an item of their choice from my store. If you do leave a comment make sure you stop back by next Monday just in case I don't have an e-mail to contact you with. You'll also want to stop by the Playground next week.... there's some special things going on!

Want a tip from me? I told this to my mother this evening. I've learned that if I put sour cream on anything my kids will eat it. They like to dip things in it, they're getting some dairy in their no milk drinking diet AND it cools down hot foods allowing them to eat sooner.

Next, I've had requests for my final submission in the Funky Playground's design competition last April and I'm just now posting it on my blog for you. I guess I just assumed that since it was downloaded 1,300 times that everyone already had it. hehe.. I wanted to repackage it and make it prettier, but lots to do this week and it's almost Thursday already.

Also, you need to go check out my CT member, Stacy's blog to pick up this gorgeous paper pack freebie! Make sure you leave her some love so she'll keep making more awesome freebies.

That's all for now... I really need to cracking on the work stuff. I've been slacking this week :) I can't wait to learn some new tips and tricks from you all!

well...I don't need to win...one of the perks of being on your team (woohoo!), but here are some tips...If your kids (or you!) ever write on a non-porous surface with permanant marker, go over it with dry erase marker and immediately wipe it off...this should get most, if not all, of the marker off! One of my favorite teacher tricks! Also...aerosol hairspray will often get permanent marker out of fabrics. Can you tell
I have some experience with permanent marker? ;)

btw...Aerin adooooooores sour cream. funny, I wouldn't touch it as a kid...

Thanks for the kit. If you put tinfoil shinny side down on the BBQ when lit and close the lid for 10 min. It'll clean it for you!

Thanks so much for the awesome kit! If you wrap your baking potatoes in foil, be sure to wrap with the shiny side in. The matte side absorbs heat better than the shiny side, making the potatoes cook faster.

awesome kit, I got it the first time you posted it.
Ohhh my mom would always say this and now she has passed I find it to be true.

Never waste ten dollars on a ten cent problem.

Happy Scrapin' kat

Here is something I have learned through the years ,never, ever, tell my hubby anything unless you want everyone he knows to know it too!

Since my little sister won't eat any type of veggies (and she is 24 lol!) what my mom and I do when cooking a meal, is just putting everything that she won't eat in the blender so that we can actually prepare a really good meal.

This way she will eat her veggies w/o picking them out ;P

A tip I picked up...this may be very stupid, but I made a roast chicken for the first time EVER (I won't say how old I am!!) amd followed the recipe to the T, and my house was so full of smoke when my husband got home...the tip...put water in the bottom of the roaster. Seriously, I didn't know, and it didn't say on the recipe. Common sense, I have none!!

OK, this is probably a silly tip, but it's all I can think of right now...if you have feel you have to sneeze and it isn't coming (don't you just hate that uncomfy feeling??!) look at a light and it should make you do it! LOL, dumb I know, but it works! Thanks for a chance to win! =)

Haha, my kids put ketchup on EVERYTHING!
What I've learned is summed up by "Don't cry over spilled milk" - My mother and grandmother both said this a lot. And I've learned not to dwell on the small mishaps in life, but to let them roll and move on. I'm much happier that way!
Fun little secret contest :)

Beautiful freebie!
Thank you!!!

My tip for you, if you are starting solids for your baby and he won't eat those mashed vegetable, try adding some mashed bananas.
My kids would eat anything, as far as they could taste the banana!!

And growing up they still eat all that I out in their plate!

I am new to digital scapbooking, and I so appreciate the freebies. I don't have any extra cash these days, and this is helping me get some Christmas gifts made. So thank you so much. I am too late for the contest, but here is a tip anyways....

I put dryer sheets under the seats of my car and in dresser drawers to keep things smelling fresh.

To get an idea of how well your meat is done use this trick: Using 3 fingers,

Rare- push on your cheek. If the meat feels like this when you push on it, it is rare.

Medium- push on your chin. If the meat feels like this when you push on it, it is medium.

Well-push on your forehead. If the meat feels like this when you push on it, it is well done.

I thought that this is a great way when judging meat cooking.
