It's been a slow month for me with getting back into a routine and harvesting all the yummy goodies out the garden, but I'm hoping to have something brand new in the near future. I'm working on repackaging some older products up and had asked on Facebook which products you would like to see back in my store. I got several responses and wanted to make sure I didn't overlook something so I figured I'd ask here as well. A little of what I've been up to

First of all, thanks so much for everyone who took the time to comment about my last post! I honestly had no idea that I'd be missed or that anyone would still be wondering about me with so many other designers out there. It means a lot to me so thank you!

I just wanted to share with all of you what I've been up to for the past several months.

We planted a garden around the middle of May and it is a MAJOR time consumer, but so worth it. This picture was taken at the end of June and surprisingly everything has like tripled in size. We've already picked all of our iceberg and romaine lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower. We've also picked some peppers, okra, zucchini, okra, cucumbers and a handful of green beans.
I've never been one that like to play in the dirt, but this garden has really changed me. I'm even entering it now with no gloves even though there are bugs in there. Don't get me wrong, sometimes things get on me and make be do the heeby jeeby dance, but it's not as bad as I thought it was. I have a feeling we're going to have an over-abundance of everything, so if anyone has any good recipes, please link me up!

For any of you that have been following my blog for a while, can you believe this little girl is now three?!?!? Where has the time gone and how'd did she get that big so fast?

Thing 1 had a birthday in April and he's now four! I remember in my pre-kid days parents saying how shocked they were that their "babies" were growing up and I used to think to myself, get over it, that's what happens. Now I totally get how they were feeling. It just seems like they were teeny tiny babies.

I've also been giving my sewing machine a good workout. I've made pretty much anything you can think of making, but I love making little dresses for thing 2 and bags of any kind! I've tried to make clothing for me and it always ends being an epic fail.

At the beginning of the year, I kind of shifted gears to try to work with what I've got. This has sort of been hard for our family, only because we always had the means to get what we wanted so trying to go without some things have proved harder on some of us. I've let go of a lot of things that I thought I needed and find a cheaper alternative to the things that we actually do need. I'm still going with it and it's surprising the amount of money we've saved by not buying ziploc bags or laundry soap and using fabric baggies or containers and homemade detergents instead.

So that's my life in a nutshell. Nothing too exciting ever goes on around here, but I honestly prefer it that way.

Well, hello there. Remember me?

Remember once upon a time when I used to post things on this blog regularly? Yeah, me neither. I am posting today though after spending way too many hours this morning trying to figure out how to change the look of my blog. Many, many frustrated hours. But, I think I got it looking somewhat like I want and thought I'd start posting on here again. I was embarrassed by the way it used to look and didn't want to post anything on it for you all to see. Kind of like the way you feel when someone comes over to your house unexpectedly and it's a disaster. Well, actually, that's the way my house looks on a daily basis. Anyways, I like the way it is right now and want to invite you all back!

Many of you may have wondered where I disappeared to for a year. Right after I decided to retire, we ended up getting an amazing deal on a house in the town where I wanted to live. We moved in last September, but there was tons of work that needed done (still needs done) The only major negative thing about the place is that we weren't able to find an internet provider that was within a reasonable price. After many months and much frustration, we were finally able to get the internet back in February. I honestly believe I'm addicted to the internet. I seriously went through withdrawals, people. It honestly hurt to breath sometimes without it.

I've still been digi-scrapping and am on a couple of creative teams. I've also took up sewing in the last year which I LOVE. I've been playing around in Photoshop for the past week or so because I realized I missed making things and thought I'd share a little paper pack with you. I've made other coordinating things that I promise to post here soon. I'm just enjoying making things without the rush of being in a store. I've also been able to learn a few things which I hope to apply and share with you all!

Boy I haven't blogged in FOREVER! It's been rather crazy around here the last six months or so and I've had all intentions of starting to blog, but haven't found the right opportunity to jump right in until tonight.

I just finished my layout for the Amazing Digiscrap Race and was in need of some rocks to complete the challenge. I didn't have any so I went ahead and made up some and wanted to share with anyone else needing them for this challenge. I've also included a mushroom and template that I found in my personal stash. Hopefully, someone can get some use out of them!

Retirement Sale!

I realize I've neglected this blog considering I haven't posted since June! Where has this year went?? I swear it was just Christmas.

I just wanted to let all of my fans know that I have decided to retire from the digital world and am closing up shop July 31st. From now until then, everything in my store excluding ScrapMatters collab kits is 50% off. The price will be shown in your shopping cart.

I want to thank every single one of my customers and fans who have been on this journey with me for the last year. I have learned so much and grown more than I ever thought possible. My reason for leaving is because my real life is getting in the way of my computer time. If there were only 10 more hours in the day I'd be set. :)

Happy Friday everyone! It has been a very long week in my house and I'm a little more than relieved that today's Friday. I feel like I've kind of disappeared from the digi world for a while, but the reasoning was because my computer crashed May 1st and I was without it for a whole week! Hope everyone's weekend is getting off to a great start and you're able to find some AMAZING deals on your scrap supplies! I've been a busy little bee this month and have one last thing for April. Can you believe it's the last day of April?? Where has this year gone?!?

I'm not going to be able to enjoy myself during all of the iNSD festivities because we're having my son's third birthday party on Saturday. It was supposed to be last Saturday and I ended up getting sick so I had to reschedule. I wish I would have scheduled it for this Sunday instead. I totally spaced about it being International Scrapbooking Day tomorrow! There will be TONS of fun stuff going on at ScrapMatters this weekend that you don't want to miss! Me on the other hand, will be busy cleaning and then entertaining a bunch of toddlers. I would much rather be scrapping. Went MIA for a while

and I'm finally back! My modem went out last Friday morning and AT&T just sent the replacement today. It was terrible not having internet access for that long. I can now honestly say that I'm addicted to the internet. Yesterday, I really started going through withdrawals and hubby did too! I used the time to stay off the computer and get some early spring cleaning done. My new philosophy in life is to only live with something if it has a function. It feels so nice to get rid of the clutter!

My CT call is still going on and I came back to an overwhelming number of applications! You still have through Friday to apply. Good luck everyone!

This page was for the first challenge of the ADSR. I'm really pleased with how it came out. I struggled finding a picture with a five in it and had to snap some pictures Saturday of a tired little girl. She was not working the camera for me, but I did manage to get a five on the toy container in the second photo.

Well I planned on posting this last night and having it automatically posted this morning, but one of my children decided that they couldn't sleep without mommy so I was in bed early and then today we had an impromptu day out. The good news is the kids are staying with grandma and I have the night to myself. My house is way too quiet and I'm actually able to sit here and watch The Soup in silence.

I in love with every single one of these pages!

I know I haven't blogged in a while, but I wanted to start fresh in 2010 and reevaluate my priorities and try to get my computer life a little more organized. I want to be more focused on my posts and get in the habit of not only posting my new releases, but also featuring pages using my products that I see out in galleries and sharing my layouts and telling you all about the amazing products and stuff that I find. Thanks to all 39 of my followers who have been reading this blog :)

I also want to get more focused on what I feed my family this year. I watched Food, Inc. a couple of weeks ago and it really changed my perspective on the food that we eat. When I found out I was pregnant with my son in 2006 I really started looking at food labels a lot more and have pretty much cut out all food not produced in the U.S. Personally, I did this because I would rather support local farmers and think that the U.S. should be able to produce enough food to feed our nation. I've also started cutting out all foods with ingredients that I cannot read. If I can't read it, should I really be putting it into my body or my children's? I'm really trying to cut back on modified foods I've started a food journal type blog where I share what I make for dinner, new recipes I've tried, what I would do different, etc. I also would like to start including how much the meals cost and what good deals that I find. We really don't budget our groceries, but I consider myself pretty frugal when it comes to shopping. We've budgeted other things in our daily lives, but I've always considered grocery shopping a special treat and want to feed my family well. I'm hoping that I will be able to feed my family even better now and hopefully a lot more healthier. Has everyone recovered from the holidays? I'm so off schedule and have kind of took a break from the computer for the week. I've spent time with my family and pretty much vegged out all week long. I did spend some time this afternoon scrapping which was really nice.
I'm posting to tell you about an amazing sale going on at Funky Playground right now. There is a Best of 2009 category where everything is $1.35! I chose to put ten of my best selling and favorite products since we're going into 2010. Seriously, can you believe the year's almost over? I'm still trying to figure out where the year went.

The holidays are an extremely busy time of the year and this year it's seems as though they have snuck right up on me. Wasn't it just Thanksgiving?? My cousin who has been stationed in Japan for the last two years is coming home tomorrow and I couldn't be more thrilled. The family hasn't seen him since 2007 so it will be nice for all of us to get together. I'm hoping to make a couple more blog posts before Christmas, but if I don't I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and enjoy the people who surround you in your life and never ever take for granted the gifts you are given each day.

I've made an early resolution to myself that January is going to bring changes to me. I never make resolutions, but this year I want to start getting a better schedule in place and start managing my time better, so I'm hoping you'll start hearing from me a lot more!

Some ScrapMatters New Releases to Share and a Speed Scrap!

So it's one o'clock in the afternoon and I'm sitting here in my pajamas with no intentions of getting out of them anytime soon. I woke up this morning feeling as though I got ran over by a truck in my sleep and feel lousy. My kids have been sick since earlier this week and it finally got me yesterday. I'm just counting down the hours until hubby gets home from work so I can go crawl back in bed.

Hi all! Long time no post as usual. I seriously need to get back on top of blogging. I feel like I wait so long and get so much stuff that I want to share that I just skip it because I'm so far behind. I'm up a little earlier than usual this morning and by that I mean I've been up since 6am and it's still dark out (somethings not right here) My kids have been sick and really clingy so it's nice to sit here and have my lap to myself :)

New Kit, Memories of You

It's new release day at the playground and I have a new kit out today that I've named, Memories of You. You can pick it up today only for 25% off!

I usually have a hard time naming kits. I usually go through ten names before I decide on one that I don't feel is too cheesy or generic. This kit was no different. I actually had a whole different theme going before it ended up this way. While working, it occurred to me that my sister's favorite color was blue and how I wished I had more pictures of her before she died. If I did have pictures I would want to scrap them with something timeless with a little bit of fun thrown in there. One day, when the timing is right, I do want to make sort of a digital journal of the memories I do have of her, stories that I can share with my children about my life with my sister. Actually, I think she finds her way in a lot of my kits. She kind of just sneaks in there without me knowing until I look at the whole thing put together. We are preserving memories with scrapping though right? I have a ton of memories in my head.

I never showed off the page I did with one of Britt-ish Designs newest kits, Galactic Alliance. It was inspired by Star Wars, but is versatile enough for other layouts as well. I have to confess that I've never seen anything Star Wars, but I thought these pictures of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in D.C. were perfect for this.

I'm Baaack! and I have a new template pack!

So without going into too many major details, I was super busy last week. I can finally say that my two year old is potty trained and my 14 month old is a walker!! I've been a mad woman trying to make my house up to par for a brand new walker. She hasn't stopped moving in four days and momma's exhausted. By the time they go to bed, I'm ready for bed myself. My husband also celebrated his birthday on Saturday. All of that along with some other personal things has been the reason that I haven't been on the computer very much. I have so many things that still need to be done and want to apologize for not posting on my blog.

Long awaited CT announcement. I'm sorry this took so long to get posted. I was still waiting to hear from a couple of people. Unfortunately, I don't have a fancy announcement, but I still want to introduce my newest team members:

I would like to thank EVERYONE who applied for my creative team. It was not an easy decision. I went through galleries and read every single application. I tried to select new members who had different scrapping styles than the girls that were already on my team. I love seeing the same product used in different ways that I may not think of. I also wanted to make sure that these different styles still meshed with my design style. I also based it on the applications. I wanted to pick out ladies that I felt would mesh well with my existing team. I take this seriously and viewed the applications as I would if I were going through resumes. My team helps me sell kits and I want to make sure that we all fit well together. I'm rambling just to say that there are many of you who are fantastic scrappers and unfortunately, I couldn't choose all of you. :(

I've been such a slacker this week and haven't done anything computer related since last Friday! It's crazy that I'm not suffering withdrawals or anything, but it's been nice to do some home improvement projects and then veg out in front of our new television in the evenings. I just checked out a book that I've been wanting to read for a while at the library today, but wanted to get some work done before I started reading. I'm bad about reading. I HAVE to finish the book within a day or two. Nothing else gets accomplished.

Hope you're sitting down because this is going to be a looong post. I have so much information to share and I'm surprised I made it through yesterday. I was busy, but the nice thing is that I'm almost done working for the week and it's only Tuesday.

There are so many wonderful new products at ScrapMatters today. Britt-ish Designs released More Fish Friends to coordinate with her Fish Are Friends kit. Unfortunately, I'm out of fishy pictures, BUT just the more reason to take a trip to an aquarium soon. Maybe I can convince hubby to take one last summer trip to the Indy Zoo.

Sahlin Studios released Explore.Learn.Grow today. I recommend buying the bundle. There is so much goodness in there you'd be sorry if you didn't.

Mira Designs released her first ever Template Pack No. 1. What's so nice about these is that she's included elements to use. There is wordart on two of them and stitches on the others.

Chelle's Creation also released You Define Me: Love. There are other packs and she's also selling the as a bundle.

Here's a couple of pages I did with the above products. I love it when I buy a school themed kit that includes some non-themed stuff I can use again and again. My kids won't be in school for several years so it's nice that I can still use these kits!

Want a tip from me? I told this to my mother this evening. I've learned that if I put sour cream on anything my kids will eat it. They like to dip things in it, they're getting some dairy in their no milk drinking diet AND it cools down hot foods allowing them to eat sooner.

Next, I've had requests for my final submission in the Funky Playground's design competition last April and I'm just now posting it on my blog for you. I guess I just assumed that since it was downloaded 1,300 times that everyone already had it. hehe.. I wanted to repackage it and make it prettier, but lots to do this week and it's almost Thursday already.

I've been super busy creating layouts this week and I really, really enjoyed just scrapping. I first want to say that I'm now on ScrapMatters creative team and can't tell you how excited I am for that!!! I'm still in disbelief I think.

Next I want to share all of the wonderful new goodies that I've been playing with this week.

Britt-ish Designs has a really, really cute kit, Fish Are Friends, out today at ScrapMatters.

I have no fishy pictures or even anything water related, but that cute little turtle reminded me of Andrew when he was just born.. I used to call him my little turtle baby because of the wrinkly little newborn face of his, like the way their top lip has that little blistery thing in the center that juts down a bit like on a turtle. Anyways, newborns have always reminded me of what I think a turtle would look like out of his shell.

Jeni Hopewell and Hafen Creations teamed up on this back to school collab, Elementary My Dear. I just love the primary colors in this and all those school supplies really rock!

I did this page for the My Story Matters challenge at ScrapMatters. Each challenge is for you to record YOUR memories and scrap them to create a book about your life. I had started doing these at the very beginning and then stopped. I do plan on going back and doing all the challenges I missed. I will be so neat to have a book about my life. This challenge was to scrap about an accomplishment. I chose to scrap about how I got straight A's all through elementary school.

And finally I sat down and scrapped with PurpleColourz and Zoe Pearn's, Sugar Plum Princess collab. Love the colors in this. So girly!

I did this page for a color challenge at Funky Playground. Have you checked out the challenges there? I wasn't able to recover everything from my deleted SSD folder, but some was salvageable. I wasn't able to save most of the .png files that were recovered, but I'm taking it as sort of a cleaning house..... more reason to buy more stuff. :) I did do a little shopping today and am ready to scrap this weekend.

I have something brand new coming out at my Funky Playground store on Monday that I'm hoping you're going to LOVE. Can't wait to show you all!

CU Buttons only $1 today and a freebie!

I love buttons which is why I'm releasing my first CU product today, a pack of 32 buttons. No credit required, but it's always appreciated. I tried to mix them up and include ones that were different than what I've seen in digital kits. All were photographed and extracted by me and left in their original state. They are only $1 Thursday only!!! They would be awesome for your personal supply stash as well. I mean, really, can you ever have too many buttons? I've also included a little sampler at the end of this post with recolored versions included. (image is linked to the store)

So I did a dumb thing today. I was trying to move all of my recently downloaded scrap supplies from my harddrive onto my EHD. While moving and deleting of the HD, I somehow managed to delete my ENTIRE Sweet Shoppe folder. And then without realizing that I deleted it, I emptied my recycling bin. Everything that I've bought and accumulated over the last two years is gone! I think I had a mini heart attack at first, but I'm trying a program to see if I can recover everything which is why I'm blogging now because I don't want to do anything that will mess with my files and hopefully using the internet won't disturb the process. Okay, back to waiting to see if I really lost everything. Fingers crossed that I didn't. Here's that little freebie for you :) btw.. I suck shadowing on white.

I meant to get this packaged up and loaded to 4shared yesterday, but I was gone all day and didn't get around to it. We went shopping for Allison's first real pair of shoes. We got a pair of white and pink Nikes for $20 thanks to the kind clerk at Muncie J.C. Penny's! She's about to start walking and we had one pair of sandals for her, but lost one the last time we went to the Muncie Target. We went back to that Target yesterday and I asked if they had it and they did! Too bad doesn't fit anymore. The girl has went from a 6-12 month shoe to a size 5 in less than a month!

First of all, thanks to everyone who took the time to share your memories with me :) I honestly got that warm fuzzy feeling while reading them. I enjoyed them so much that I gave everyone the kit!!! Can't wait to see what you all create using it!

So I'm finally revealing my kit. I wanted to go ahead and put it in the store so I didn't have to worry about it in the morning when the kids are the most unruly. I was inspired after looking through some old family photo albums and went from there. and just realized I spelled "sneak peek" wrong. lol. I don't have time to change the image right now, but I really do know how to spell :)

I will show you a page I did using my new kit coming out tomorrow. This is an old photo of my great grandparents. They both died before I was born, but I just love looking through the family albums. I would eventually like to share these with my family and let them do their own journaling on the pages so that they can write down the stories that are important to them. Would make a nice Christmas present, huh? Maybe I can get going on some of these older pictures and finish by December.

My CT requested some numbers and I after much playing around, I came up with these little number dots. Included are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black and white. They should recolor easily. I made 0-9 and a blank one. Hope you enjoy!

I've blogged about this kit before, but I used it again because I just love it that much.

Well I *think* that's it for the day. I need to get back to Allison who's becoming bored with Sesame Street and keeps crawling over to me. She's really not technically crawling yet, but she moves around by sitting on her butt and using her hands to pull her forward while her legs steer. It's the funniest thing to watch. She's also been pulling herself up and I think she may skip the traditional crawl altogether. Since she's now mobile I've spent the majority of my time decluttering the house and making sure everythings baby proof again. I feel like I've been on top of it but I'm amazed on the tiny objects she finds. How do they do it? Find those things that even I couldn't find? lol.

I'm so excited because I'm guesting for Amanda Heimann this month!! Woohoo!! She has some really great products in her store at Scrap Orchard.

I used her Firefly Lane collab with Ziggle Designs and her new Buttonbet alpha. (some papers and letters were slightly recolored)

Have you seen this kit by Valorie Brown at Funky Playground??? Talk about C-U-T-E!! I linked the image to it in the shop, Just in case :)

I was browsing Funky Playground the other day and came across this kit which I immediately fell in love with. (also linked)

Did everyone survive the weekend? We didn't do a thing which was kind of nice. Allison did break out in a terrible rash that we believe is from her vaccinations on 06/23. She looks awful but isn't acting out of the norm. I'm planning on taking her to the doctor first thing tomorrow (or as soon as they can schedule us) I'm just hoping her pediatrician is working.

We were able to hear all the fireworks and they kept the kids from sleeping, they sounded really nice (and really loud!) Maybe they'll be old enough next year to stay awake until 10 p.m. I really hate the week after the fourth though. EVERYONE is setting off fireworks which is kind of annoying when you have babies trying to sleep.

That's all for now, I'm in the process of working on something :) I think I've blogged more in the past week than I did all of June.

First of all, Happy 4th of July everyone!! If you are celebrating I hope you have a fun (and safe) holiday.

It's been raining here in Indiana all morning, but I'm kind of relieved. DH wanted to have an impromptu rummage this weekend to get rid of some of our clutter. I've spent the last couple of days pricing and organizing boxes and boxes of stuff that were still packed from when we moved over a year ago! So the rummage is postponed until next weekend and I can finally relax and enjoy the weekend.
